| Tiivistelmä: | The production, purchasing and logistics areas, as well as suppliers and customers, continue to be under-represented at many manufacturing firms. This study provides empirical support for including these parties early in new product development (NPD). Demonstrated is the positive impact that their participation can have on manufacturing efficiency and agility, delivery service and organizational performance. It is also revealed that there is room for their participation to increase at many firms. |
