Tiivistelmä:This article examines organizational transformation analyzing the implementation of business process reengineering in a National Health Service hospital in United Kingdom. It is found that the pre-existing organizational arrangements and relationships within a large public service organization created by the new public management limit the possibilities of organizational transformation. The reasons for the obstacles are discussed.
