| Tiivistelmä: | The first attempts at the development of a semantic of visual art have failed because they built on analogies with language (Panofsky's iconography). A true semantic of visual art has to build on laws of artificial languages and perspective, use as elements colour, shape, texture etc. and rely on Gestalt-psychology.
