| Tiivistelmä: | Based on a systematic literature review and empirical research through industry and government focus groups and case studies, this paper aims to highlight the confusion around the definition of high value manufacturing and the strategies companies adopt for high value repositioning. The definition of terminology is questioned. There is insight provided into what is required from government and academia to assist industry to make the transition into a more competitive and sustainable mode of operation. There is provided foundation for further research by identifying the gaps in knowledge and issues affecting the industry. |
