| Abstract: | The caricature of capitalism is that it is a vicious system in which the strong destroy the weak. Well, okay, we can live with that. Certainly when it comes to global finance, the weak are looking vulnerable. Whether it's Asian financial institutions reeling from the practices that brought the whole region into crisis, poorly run American insurance companies, or little old European banks, the strong are consuming the weak - with relish. |
