| Tiivistelmä: | In this study, the authors show the reasons why data envelopment analysis is a suitable method in order to evaluate the relative efficiencies of water supply systems and management of water resources. The particular case analyzed was the Palestinian Territories. The paper also documents that water losses were the most common reason to inefficiency. These findings suggest that to improve the situation, the local policy makers should concentrate on rebuilding the infrastructure of the water resources. |
