| Tiivistelmä: | This article proposes to evaluate and empirically verify possible negative impacts from the construction of wind turbines on the affected areas' landscape image and tourism potential, using two comparative recreational localities in the Czech Republic as examples: one with the planned construction of a wind farm and the other which already has it. The empirical research included a questionnaire survey and focused, semi-structured interviews. The subjective perception of the phenomenon by tourists and local business representatives in the field of tourism were specially emphasized. The analysis concentrates also on the social-geographical factors shaping tourists' attitudes to the dilemma of wind energy development. |
