Tiivistelmä: | European companies will no longer take a back seat to Japanese and USA firms. To compete, USA companies must take strong steps to increase their European presence. They must invest in Europe to become full-fledged participants after 1992. Although many USA companies are still fighting from the sidelines, a substantial European presence is key to build competitive advantage and to block new competitors. A combination of acquisitions, subsidiary specialization, and strategic partnerships may help USA multinationals get the opportunity to participate in an integrated European economy. |
