| Tiivistelmä: | In 1995, the production of raw coal grew steadily in China. The supply and demand of coal was balanced basically but in some areas and for some of varieties, demand exceeded supply. The stock of coal was insufficient, its price rose and changed frequently. Compared with the growth in 1994 and 1995, the growth of coal will slow down in 1996 and it is estimated that its output value will reach 1.39 billion tons. The consumption of coal will be 1.46 billion tons, up 5% over last year. The export of coal will continue to rise and reach 40 million tons with an increasing range of 25%. The stock will decrease further. The coal price will take a trend of slightly upward within stability. |
