| Tiivistelmä: | The relationship between public goods and aggregate output depends on a complex set of price effects absent from aggregate production function analyses. These cannot generally uncover the role of public goods in production. Even costless increases in public goods productive for individual firms will not always result in higher equilibrium output. Increases in public goods that have zero marginal productivities will increase aggregate output under very plausible conditions. |
