| Tiivistelmä: | The paper is divided into the three parts. 1) Digital divide. Despite its widespread availability and use, the net has not created a completely level playing field, and the growing digital divide worries many. 2) Corollary of risk. Capital markets and venture capital firms have arguably altered the economic rules forever, with their online economy investment leading to a new volatility that can be identified as a corollary risk. 3) Paradigm shift. In this section the author answers the question whether there is anything fundamentally new in the e-economy. The author considers these topics quoting the words of the participants of the Guardian conference on the new economy. |
