| Tiivistelmä: | A review of the relationships that exist between certain collaborators in a firm, their ritualistic aspect, anthropocentric rationalisation and other problems that arise in the discrepancy between accounting theory and the more holistic approach of the modern world-view, how they are circumvented by devices which are strictly irrational, and the function of accounting and financial professionals to devise new rituals to meet and accommodate new circumstances within the orthodox cannon, drawing parallels between this activity and the witchdoctor in more primitive societies. |
