| Abstract (eng): | The target of this thesis is to develop a park master plan as a commission for the municipality of Vihti. The park will be situated in Pajuniitty, area covered by a new city plan. Pajuniitty is located next to the center of Nummela, which is the largest population center in Vihti. Currently the area covered by the city plan is an unconstructed field. In the future, the park will be surrounded by a new municipal service center, sports park and housing areas. Furthermore the park will join two green areas in the east and west sides of the park. The core of the park will be Ridalinpuro stream, which flows through the park area. Stormwaters of the new Pajuniitty city plan will be collected in the stream. The stream runs into eutrophicated lake Enäjärvi, which is the uppermost lake of Siuntionjoki basin. The quality of the water running into lake Enäjärvi has an impact on the lower parts of the Siuntionjoki basin. Along the basin there are several Natura areas and nationally valuable landscape areas. Therefore it is essential to improve the quality of the stormwater before it flows in the lake Enäjärvi. After the construction of the Pajuniitty area covered by the city plan, more stormwater will form due to increased area of impervious surface. Thus the design of the stormwater facilities in the park is a crucial part of the park plan in this thesis. The location of the park on clay soil, and the seasonal changes in the stormwater runoff cause challenges to the stormwater management planning. This thesis consists of three main chapters: introduction and analysis of the planning site and its surroundings, stormwater management theory and the principal park plan. The park plan aims to integrate the stormwater facilities into the landscape architecture of the park so that it relates to the rest of the park landscape. In addition to the stormwater management facilities, the park master plan takes into account the various needs of the possible users of the park. |
| Abstract (fin): | Laadin diplomityössäni yleissuunnitelmatasoisen puistosuunnitelman Vihdin Nummelaan. Työ on tehty tilaustyönä Vihdin kunnalle. Diplomityön suunnittelualue sijoittuu uudelle Pajuniityn kaava-alueelle, lähelle Nummelan keskustaa. Nykyisellään asemakaava-alueen ympäristö on rakentamatonta peltoa. Puistoa tulevat rajamaan pohjoispuolelle sijoittuva uusi palvelurakennus ja liikuntapuisto, sekä puiston eteläpuolelle rakennettava asuntoalue. Lisäksi puisto liittyy osaksi viherverkostoa, yhdistyen idässä nykyiseen virkistysalueeseen ja lännessä luonnontilaiseen metsäalueeseen. Puiston keskiössä on sen läpi virtaava Ridalinpuro, johon on tarkoitus hallitusti johtaa uuden asemakaava-alueen hulevedet. Puro laskee rehevöityneeseen Enäjärveen, joka on Siuntionjoen vesistön matala latvajärvi. Enäjärveen päätyvien vesien laatu vaikuttaa myös järven alapuolisiin Siuntionjoen vesistön osiin. Siuntionjoen vesistöön kuuluu valtakunnallisesti arvokkaita maisemakokonaisuuksia ja sen varrella on Natura-alueita. Tämän vuoksi hulevesien laadun parantaminen ennen Enäjärveen päätymistä on hyvin tärkeää. Pajuniityn asemakaava-alueen rakentamisen jälkeen hulevettä muodostuu entistä enemmän, vettä läpäisemättömän pinnan lisääntyessä. Siksi Ridalinpuroon johdettavien hulevesien hallinta on tärkeä osa puiston suunnittelua. Haasteita hulevesien hallinnan suunnittelulle tuottavat suunnittelualueen sijoittuminen eroosioherkälle savimaalle, sekä veden määrän kausittaiset vaihtelut purossa. Diplomityö koostuu kolmesta pääluvusta; suunnittelukohteen ja sen ympäristön esittelystä ja suunnittelun kannalta tärkeistä analyyseistä, hulevesien hallintaa käsittelevästä teoriaosiosta sekä yleissuunnitelmatasoisesta puistosuunnitelmasta. Puistosuunnitelmassa pyritään yhdistämään luonnonmukaisen vesirakentamisen menetelmät osaksi puiston maisema-arkkitehtuuria. Puiston muut osat muodostavat yhtenäisen kokonaisuuden puroympäristön kanssa. |
