| Abstract: | This paper presents findings from an empirical study to determine the general perception and relevance of Concurrent Engineering (CE) environment for product development in Singapore's manufacturing industry. The study surveys what constitutes a conducive corporate CE environment, enabling infrastructure, and critical success factors; and identifies potential barriers to successful CE planning and implementation in Singapore's context where "CE in the small" is practiced. |
