Abstract:This study examined the effects of menstrual cycle status, occupational level and perceived PMS on employees' stress, health and work experiences. The cyclic health and work experiences of women with and without perceived PMS were also compared. The results showed no differences between groups of perimenstrual, post-menstrual women, and non-menstruating women, and male colleagues on dimensions of illness, wellness, work performance, absenteeism, or subjective stress. Employers need not fear cyclic decrements in female employees' productivity.
