Abstract:Conceptual issues in Information Technology and Marketing have changed with the advancement of technology and changing needs of the consumers, both of which have gone global and more complicated making them more difficult to manage for maximal benefits. The edge lies in enabling information technology tuned to meeting and satisfying market needs. This paper reviews literature and proposes a conceptual market oriented approach towards information technology as the basis of a more beneficial employment of information technology to serve and satisfy the market in the service sector.
