| Abstract: | The paper underlines the important role of Soviet sociology in restructuring Soviet society. The relationship between sociology and perestroika in the context of the continuing struggle to establish the integrity of sociology as a discipline in the Soviet Union is described. The author suggests that Soviet sociology is now actively seeking new theoretical paradigms to comprehend the changing nature of Soviet reality. |
