| Abstract: | Processes in companies contain and increase organizational potential and therefore they can be regarded as critical success factors in competition. In this context, organizational potential is defined as the possibility to increase efficiency through the design and implementation of processes and systems. Successful companies qualify themselves by multiplying complex processes and/or systems. In this way they can make use of their organizational potentials. It is shown how processes in companies can be defined appropriately for enhancing effectiveness. Two approaches of process modelling are analyzed and - as a synthesis - a third one is also presented. |
