| Abstract: | The audiovisual and broadcasting policy has been of great importance within the European Community. Its importance has extended beyond the significant economic importance of the audiovisual sector because Member States' policies for the audiovisual domain have been perceived as a measure of their commitment to comprehensive or minimalist versions of European union. For economic, political and cultural reasons the audiovisual and broadcasting sectors are likely to remain an arena of conflict within the European Community. |
