Abstract: | With the growing competition for viewers in Europe and the further growth of the cable industry in the U.S., there is a growing demand for more original programming. Canadians are trying to serve both markets, establishing bases on both sides of the Atlantic. To make sure of a place in the market, some Canadian producers are concentrating on specific programme areas: children's and family entertainment. |
