Abstract:Life in the twentieth century is filled with constant change. About 17 million Americans per year move households to a new town or state because of job transfers and new employment opportunities. One constant amid this change is that similar products and services are found in many diverse geographical areas. One can carry out breakfast, have a car repaired, have accounting done, a lawn fertilized, and dinner and video delivered at home in almost any part of the country by national firms. Several trends help make a bright future for franchising.
