| Abstract: | The world of business now operates on a 24 hour schedule. To meet such relentless demand, companies often must create work schedules that require employees to work night shifts or on rotating schedules. Unfortunately, companies that create shift work schedules often experience lowered productivity, a higher incidence of accidents and higher turnover, among other problems. By establishing consistent schedules and teaching workers to cope with irregular shifts, organizations can fit nontraditional work schedules into their strategic goals. |
