Abstract:At present, China has 40,000,000 spindles of yarn with annual per capita share of textile about 6 kilograms. Because of the larger amount of exports, the actual per capita consumption in big and medium-sized cities is about 3 kilograms, much lower than the more advanced and advanced countries with annual per capita consumption 30 kilograms. The main reason for the decline of textile industry are as follows: 1. As the raw materials are not developed extensively, cotton has been the major raw materials of production in most of textile enterprises; 2. The large old textile enterprises have transferred the equipments shifted out to the township enterprises, which leads to the similar products flooding the market; 3. There is no effective measure to develop new products.
