Abstract:The EU countries have occupied an important position in China's foreign trade relations in many years. According to the customs' statistics, the trade volume between China and the EU in 1994 rose by 21.6% over last year, an increase of 5 times compared with that in 1980, accounting for 14.40% of China's total foreign trade volume. According to incomplete statistics, from 1990 to 1994, there were 2288 contracts on technology and equipments introduced from the EU, with an amount of USD 19.69 billion, accounting for 43.8% of the total volume of introduced technologies in the same period. The EU ranks top in China's partners.
