Abstract:The main service industries in China's mainland, which have already opened to foreign businessmen include finance, security, retail, foreign trade and tourism. Their opening will exert influence on the development of Hong Kong's service industries in terms of competitiveness, complementary and promotion. In the future, Hong Kong's service industry should choose the following development strategies: moving labor-intensive enterprises to inland areas, focusing their efforts on the development of high value-added, capital- and technology- and intelligence-intensive service industries in Hong Kong, developing some service industries which are almost same as inland to reduce the cost of development.
