Abstract:Compared with the end of the Seventh Five-Year period, the domestic traffic amount of passengers and goods rose 47.2 and 29.1 percent respectively by the end of the Eighth. The strategic goal for the Ninth is to enable China's communications and transportation to take three steps upward: tremendous easing of tensions of transportation, capacity of communications and transportation basically satisfying demand of the national economy and social development, and establishment of a modern system of communications and transportation.
