Abstract: | Bangkok suffers from terrible traffic congestion. If you want to go a little faster during the rush hour, to move forward even one centimeter ahead of everyone else, then your transport options will provide definite thrills. One option is a "motorsai-rap-chaan" (motorcycle for hire). You ride on the back of a small motorcycle - without seat belt or airbag, of course. This motorcycle service first appeared in the 1980s. Another option is the tuk-tuk, a small, motorized three-wheeled taxi. It is especially well known to tourists. |
