| Abstract: | Dimensional management is an engineering methodology that uses computer simulation tools to improve quality and reduce costs through controlled variation and robust design. The principle is to create a design and process that 'absorbs' as much variation as possible without affecting the function of the product. The author of this article explains this method of ensuring that all units of a product meet the same specifications. |
