Abstract: | The region's IT market has been slower than expected to get off the ground, but there are signs that the much-touted boom could happen over the next four years. What a difference a few years makes. Back in 1990, many Central European businesses were stuck with technology that wasn't just archaic, but a copy of archaic western IT. Now the most forward-looking are investing what little they have in cutting edge technology. And some of it comes from domestic suppliers that have beaten their giant US rivals in large deals. |
