| Abstract: | Eco-labelling programmes have emerged as a hot issue in international fora where the relationships between trade and environment are discussed. Item 3(b) of the Agenda for the Committee on Trade and Environment (CTE) under the World Trade Organization (WTO) discusses "the relationship between the provisions of the multilateral trading system and requirements for environmental purposes relating to products, including standards and technical regulations, packaging, labelling and recycling." |
