| Abstract: | This study confirms the idea that relational risk has two dimensions: probability of loss and size of loss each of which has substantially different causes. The earlier finding of a negative effect of trust on perceived dependence is confirmed. Hypotheses were well corroborated, with trust related variables and others found to have signifiacant effects, and tested with survey data. A policy recommendation derived from the study is that firms may be well advised to employ more sophistication in their assessments of relational risk. |
