| Abstract: | The economic situation in 1996 had two features. One was that the regulation and control target of "soft take off" of national economy had been reached. The other was that the national economy kept a steady growth. In 1997, the second feature will become more obvious and the economic growth rate will be slightly higher than 1996's. It is estimated that GDP growth rate, calculated in terms of comparable price, the general index of retail price, the growth rate of investment, the growth rate of total retail volume of consumer goods and the growth rate of export will stand at 10.5-11.0%, 5%, 16%, 17% and 15% or so respectively. |
