| Abstract: | We should take the following countermeasures in utilising foreign investment in agriculture in China: fully understanding the significance of developing agriculture by utilising foreign investment; formulating as soon as possible the concrete industrial policy on utilising foreign investment in agriculture and the order of industries, of which priority is given to the development; making clear the key agricultural fields where foreign investment is encouraged, that is, plantation animal husbandry and aquatic products industry; promoting the rationalisation of the structure of areas where foreign investment is utilised in agriculture; establishing the "dragon-head" enterprises integrating trade, industry and agriculture; running well the existing foreign-funded enterprises to bring into play their "window" demonstration effect. |
