| Abstract: | The concept of a "virtual organization" -- of a transitory network of individuals coupled together by advanced communications technologies -- continues to grow in prominence. However, most of the literature concerned with the coupling of networked homeworkers or "hot-deskers" into virtual teams has centered around the advantages of such arrangements for large organizations. This is a pity since the competitive benefits of the "virtual organization phenomenon" for small businesses may prove just as great. |
