| Abstract: | Encryption is banned or restricted in many countries because governments believe that they should be able to monitor communications. One of an organisation's most important assets is the information it holds in its datafiles. For security, computer users are enjoined to use an access control system. These work by refusing access to the system unless the user enters the correct password. The best way to protect the confidential information stired in a computer system is to encrypt it. |
