| Abstract: | This paper explores the development of tourist education. There has been much discussion particularly about the "fit" between tourism higher education and tourism industry. A wider debate about the nature of tourism education is needed. In recent years the development of international programmes has been rapid in Europe by support from European Commission through its ERASMUS Educational Exchange Programme. Some new programmes, such as SOCRATES and ATLAS has been launched lately. |
