Abstract:According to incomplete statistics, the foreign trade enterprises groups in China have reached near 100 with a total volume of assets, volume of business and a total volume of import and export amounting to 290 billion yuan, 950 billion yuan and US$ 44 billion respectively. Among them, COFCO and SINOCHEM are among the top 500 enterprises in the world. The orientation of reform and formation of foreign trade enterprises groups should be to establish modern enterprise system and realize gradually- function and business of scale. To this end, the state should give some policy support to them in the following aspects: 1. forming a parent-subsidiary system with capital as link, 2. strengthening the investment and financing functions of parent companies, 3. supplementing capital in cash through many channels.
