Abstract:In cross-cultural training programs, some teaching and learning theories are similar from one culture to another, and in other cases they are different: there is no one way to teach and learn things, there is no universal applicability of teaching and learning theories, and there are similarities and differences among teaching and learning theories around the world. There are four collaborative teaching-learning theories in cross-cultural training programs presented in the paper. These are: (a) Cognivistic, (b) Pragmatistic, (c) Behavioristic, and (d) Humanistic. Research evidence on each of the collaborative teaching and training theories is reviewed.
