Abstract:Up to now from 1995 the people gaining access to Internet number 1.1 million and only over 70,000 computers have connected directly with Internet. It shows that there is a wide gap between China and the advanced America and European countries. This year, the Ministry of Information Industry will invest 50 billion yuan for supporting the projects which will help raise the levels of network technology and service as well as network operational results. It will also make an overall plan to prevent duplication in construction. In the course of network construction, we should attach importance to the equipment for establishing networks, what is more, the information content on the networks and the development of applied system.
