Abstract:Since 1979, China's economic growth mode has shifted from extension type and being extensive t connotation type and being intensive. The core of the 20-year transformation is to shift from the traditional economy to modern economy, which is the basic driving factor for rapid economic growth. But the course of transforamtion, full of contradictions and conflicts is never plain sailing and there would even appear a process of temporary deterioration. For instance, during the period from 1989 to 1991 the guiding thought of "being impatient for success" led to the over heated economy. So to realize economic transformation, we should emancipate our mind interms of guiding thought, that is, make transformation of guiding thought which should take the lead in China's economic transformation.
