Abstract:The inflow of international capital not only has growth effect on the national economy but also can play a marked role in raising economic efficiency. As China is still a country short of capital, she must utilize foreign investment effectively to accelerate the formation of domestic capital. In the coming more than decade, China should put stress on the following in absorbing international capital:continuing to improve domestic investment environment; conducting asset re-organization by using foreign investment; encouraging foreign business people to invest in agriculture, high and new-tech industries, basic industries and infrastructure as well as the central and western areas; strengthening supervision and management of foreign-funded enterprises and supporting the development of China's young industries.
