| Abstract: | In the EU, financial instruments for controlling emissions are being developed. The new regulations are resulting in the emergence of new type of business opportunity, that is, carbon services, which enable corporations to control their greenhouse gas output through management of their energy, land use and materials. This article explains the basis of the new industry examining its prospects in 3 of Europe's largest economies, the U.K., Germany and France. |
