Abstract:The U.S. continues to be one of the most entrepreneurial countries in the world. During the year 2000, 12.7 percent of the adult population was engaged in an entrepreneurial endeavour. In addition, seven percent of the population invested in a start-up venture within the last three years. The article also includes information in brief on Total Entrepreneurial Activity (TEA) rates and economic growth figures of several countries.
