| Abstract: | This article examines US auto-component industry between 1979 and 1991, because the authors want to show that inward foreign direct investment (FDI) often leads to greater host country productivity. In this time period Japanese automobile assembles started to produce vechiles in North Amereica and effected a lot in US automobile industry. |
