Abstract:This article examined the attitudes of European hoteliers towards environmental (hereafter as: env.) issues. The env. issues have not been the top priority on hotels' list, but the advantages have been recognized. The results show that managers in chain-affiliated hotels were more likely to invest in env. issues, than those who managed independent hotels. It was also noticed that some of the guests had demanded env. programs from hotels.
