Abstract:This article focuses on strategic change inside organizations and examines how employeesÂ’ beliefs and values affect their willing to accept change. It was found that values do not change in the change process. However, beliefs linked to values did change which suggests that people are willing to apply their values differently. It is argued that fundamental strategic change can take place when only mundane beliefs are changed for after this ideological beliefs can be realigned and re-applied.
