| Abstract: | This article discusses insurance customer dishonesty as a special case of consumer ethics, as a way of situation handling, and as a moral choice between right and wrong. The author introduces moral psychology as a frame of reference, concentrating on cognitive moral development, moral attitude and moral neutralization. The experiences from a 2004 pilot survey is presented with a main focus on a few insurance dishonesty scenarios. |
