| Abstract: | The paper discusses mission as a part of the strategic management framework and defines organizational missions. It concludes that an organization or enterprise is defined by its mission and the use of mission-based enterprise architectures emphasizes the importance of three factors of organizational design and performance: knowledge, competent functions, and fundamental capabilities. |
