| Abstract: | This paper deals with the links btw. agglomeration, productivity, and transport investment by developing an econometric model to explore the relationship btw. the density of economic activity and productivity for different sectors of the U.K. economy. It is shown there to be positive externalities from increasing urban densities which can be substantial, especially for service industries. |
