Abstract: | This study aims to describe and analyze how knowledge is integrated btw. different work groups. Two intensive case studies are presented: one permanent and one temporary project work settings. These were studied using a practice-based perspective. A main result is that knowledge integration (herein as: k-i.) in the two cases was more complicated than suggested by the literature. There were found differences in the use of boundary spanning activities and boundary objects. Similarities were found in the organizational structures and mechanisms btw. the two case studies. |
